  1. Raise and support the vehicle safely. Remove the wheels.
  2.  
  3. Remove the halfshaft.
  4.  
  5. Remove the nut and disconnect the No. 1 lower arm from the axle carrier. Matchmark the adjusting cam to the body, remove the cam and bolt and then lift out the No. 1 arm.
  6.  
  7. Remove the bolt and nut and disconnect the No. 2 lower arm from the axle carrier. Matchmark the adjusting cam to the body, remove the cam and bolt and then lift out the No. 2 arm.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Position the No. 2 arm and install the adjusting cam and bolt so the matchmarks are in alignment. Connect the arm to the axle carrier.
  2.  
  3. Position the No. 1 arm and install the adjusting cam and bolt so the matchmarks are in alignment. Connect the arm to the axle carrier. Use a new nut and tighten it to 43 ft. lbs. (59 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Install the halfshaft.
  6.  
  7. Install the wheels and lower the vehicle. Bounce it several times to set the suspension and then tighten the body-to-arm bolts and nuts to 134 ft. lbs. (181 Nm). Tighten the No. 2 arm-to-carrier bolt to 119 ft. lbs. (162 Nm). Tighten the No. 1 arm-to-carrier nut to 36 ft. lbs. (49 Nm).

  9. Check the rear wheel alignment.
