REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Locate the EFI relay in the fuse block. Pull the relay out of the fuse block, test and replace if necessary.

  1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  2.  
  3. At this time an operation noise will occur from the relay.
  4.  
  5. Remove the EFI main relay from the relay block.
  6.  
  7. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between each terminal.
  8.  
  9. The resistance should be as follows:

    Between terminals 1 and 2: 40-60 omega
     
    Between terminals 3 and 4: infinity ( f )

  1. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminals 1 and 3.
  2.  
  3. Check that there is no continuity between terminals 2 and 4.
  4.  
  5. If continuity is not as specified, replace the relay.
  6.  
  7. Next, apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 3.
  8.  
  9. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminals 2 and 4.
  10.  
  11. If operation is not as specified, replace the relay.
