  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the air cleaner hose along with air connector pipe.
  4.  
  5. Remove the PCV orifice pipe and hoses.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect and remove the accelerator link.
  8.  
  9. Remove the air intake connector, vacuum transmitting pipe and brackets.
  10.  
  11. Disconnect and tag the spark plug cables.
  12.  
  13. Remove the cylinder head cover retaining bolts and remove the cylinder head covers.
  14.  

To install:

  1. Install the cylinder head covers (using new gaskets) and install the retaining bolts. Tighten the bolts to 22 inch lbs.
  2.  
  3. Install the spark plug cables.
  4.  
  5. Install the air intake connector, vacuum transmitting pipe and brackets.
  6.  
  7. Install the accelerator link.
  8.  
  9. Install the PCV orifice pipe and hoses.
  10.  
  11. Install the air cleaner hose along with air connector pipe.
  12.  
  13. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
  14.  

Van
  1. Disconnect the battery.
  2.  
  3. Remove the right front seat.
  4.  
  5. Remove the engine service hole cover.
  6.  
  7. Remove the air cleaner hose and air cleaner assembly.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect and tag all cables and wires attached to various engine parts in order to gain access to the rocker arm cover and its retaining bolts.
  10.  
  11. Remove the cap nuts and seal washers that retain the rocker arm cover to the cylinder head and remove the rocker arm cover along with the old gasket.
  12.  

To install:

  1. Using a new gasket, install the rocker arm cover. Tighten the bolts to 13 ft. lbs. (18 Nm).
  2.  
  3. To complete this procedure, installation is the reverse order of the removal.
