Blower Motor

Print

On the later Toyota models, with factory installed air conditioning, the air conditioner assembly and heater assembly utilize the same blower. The blower motor is integral with the heater assembly and therefore in most cases the blower motor must be removed from the A/C heater case assembly when the assembly has been removed from the vehicle. However there may be an exception to this rule on some models. In those cases the procedure below may be used as a general guide. Some mounting and wiring may differ from model to model from the procedures detailed below. Many Toyota vehicles have dealer installed air conditioning. This type system may use a separate blower motor just for the air conditioning. The procedures that follow are for factory air conditioning.

Due to the lack of information available at the time of this publication, a general blower motor removal and installation procedure is outlined. The removal steps can be altered as required.
