  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
  2.  
  3. Unfasten the double nuts at the top end of the shock absorber. Remove the cushions and the cushion retainers.
  4.  
  5. Remove the shock absorber-to-lower control arm bolts.
  6.  
  7. Compress the shock absorber and remove it from the vehicle.
  8.  
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedures. Tighten the shock absorber-to-lower control arm bolts to 13 ft. lbs. and the shock absorber-to-body nuts to 19 ft. lbs.

  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
  2.  
  3. Unfasten the double nuts at the top end of the shock absorber. Remove the cushions and the cushion retainers.
  4.  
  5. Remove the shock absorber-to-axle housing bolt.
  6.  
  7. Compress the shock absorber and remove it from the vehicle.
  8.  
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedures. Tighten the shock absorber-to-suspension arm nut/bolt 70 ft. lbs. and the shock absorber-to-body nuts to 19 ft. lbs.
