REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Cressida
  1. Remove the access hole cover.
  2.  
  3. Separate the wiper and motor by prying gently with a small prybar.
  4.  
  5. Remove the wiper arms and the linkage mounting nuts. Push the linkage pivot ports into the ventilators.
  6.  
  7. Remove the wiper arms and the linkage mounting nuts. Push the linkage pivot ports into the ventilators.
  8.  
  9. Loosen the wiper link connectors at their ends and with the linkage from the cowl ventilator.
  10.  
  11. Start the wiper motor and turn the ignition key to the OFF position when the crank is a position best suited for removal of the motor.
  12.  

The wiper motor is difficult to remove when it is in the parked position. If the motor is turned off at the wiper switch, it will automatically return to this position.

  1. Unplug the wiper motor connector.
  2.  
  3. Loosen the motor mounting bolts and withdraw the motor.
  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Be sure to install the wiper motor with it in the park position by connecting the multi-connector and operating the wiper control switch. Assemble the crank.

Van
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Unplug the wiring connector from the wiper motor.
  4.  
  5. Remove the wiper motor retaining bolts that secure the motor to the firewall in the engine compartment.
  6.  
  7. Pull the motor away from the firewall so as to allow enough room to be able to remove the wiper crank arm retaining nut.
  8.  
  9. Once the crank arm nut has been removed, use a suitable tool and pry the wiper arm linkage from the crank arm.
  10.  
  11. Remove the motor from the vehicle.
  12.  
  13. To install reverse the removal procedure. Connect the negative battery cable and check the operation of the wiper motor.
