Bushing Replacement




NOTE
These vehicles do not have replaceable bushings.

Removal & Installation



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Engine/transaxle assembly
     
    Transverse engine mount insulator
     
    2 front and 1 rear lower arm mount bolts
     
    Lower arm
     

  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of removal. Observe the following torques:

    Front side bolts: 148 ft. lbs. (200Nm)
     
    Rear arm bolt/nut: 152 ft. (206Nm)
     
    Insulator: 64 ft. lbs. (87Nm)
     

  6.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
  2.  
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Engine/transaxle assembly
     
    Transverse engine mount insulator
     
    2 front and 1 rear lower arm mount bolts
     
    Lower arm
     

  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of removal. Observe the following torques:

    Front side bolts: 148 ft. lbs. (200Nm)
     
    Rear arm bolt/nut: 152 ft. (206Nm)
     
    Insulator: 64 ft. lbs. (87Nm)
     

  6.  

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Engine/transaxle assembly
     
    Transverse engine mount insulator
     
    2 front and 1 rear lower arm mount bolts
     
    Lower arm
     

  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of removal. Observe the following torques:

    Front side bolts: 148 ft. lbs. (200 Nm)
     
    Rear arm bolt/nut: 152 ft. (206 Nm)
     
    Insulator: 64 ft. lbs. (87 Nm)

  6.  

  1. Remove the engine/transaxle assembly.
  2.  
  3. Remove the transverse engine mounting insulator.
  4.  
  5. Remove the 3 bolts securing the arm to the engine support member.
  6.  
  7. Remove the front lower arm bush stopper.
  8.  
  9. Remove the ball joint-to-arm bolts.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of removal. Observe the following torques:

    2 short arm-to-support bolts: 148 ft. lbs. (200 Nm)
     
    1 long arm-to-support bolt: 152 ft. lbs. (206 Nm)
     
    Ball joint-to-arm: 94 ft. lbs. (127 Nm)
     
    Transverse engine mounting insulator: 64 ft. lbs. (87 Nm)

Hybrid
  1. Remove the engine/transaxle assembly.
  2.  
  3. Remove the transverse engine mounting insulator.
  4.  
  5. Remove the 3 bolts securing the arm to the engine support member.
  6.  
  7. Remove the front lower arm bush stopper.
  8.  
  9. Remove the ball joint-to-arm bolts.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of removal. Observe the following torques:

    2 short arm-to-support bolts: 148 ft. lbs. (200 Nm)
     
    1 long arm-to-support bolt: 152 ft. lbs. (206 Nm)
     
    Ball joint-to-arm: 94 ft. lbs. (127 Nm)
     
    Transverse engine mounting insulator: 64 ft. lbs. (87 Nm)
