Testing



2.4L (2AZ-FE)
  1. Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 (+B) and 2 (E2G).
  2.  
  3. Using a voltmeter, connect the positive (+) tester probe to terminal VG, and negative (-) tester probe to terminal E2G.
  4.  
  5. Blow air into the MAF meter, and check that the voltage fluctuates.

  7. Measure the resistance between terminals 4 (THA) and 5 (E2).
  8.  
  9. If the result is not as specified, replace the MAF meter.
  10.  

3.3L (3MZ-FE)
  1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals THA and E2.
  2.  
  3. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the MAF meter.

  5. Connect the MAF meter connector.
  6.  
  7. Using a voltmeter, connect the positive (+) tester probe to terminal VG, and negative (-) tester probe to terminal E3.
  8.  
  9. Blow air into the MAF meter, and check that the voltage fluctuates.
  10.  
  11. If operation is not as specified, replace the MAF meter.
