  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Drain the cooling system.
  4.  
  5. Remove the radiator hoses.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect transmission oil cooler lines.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the fan motor electrical connector.
  10.  
  11. Disconnect two fan motor electrical harness clamps from the fan shroud.
  12.  
  13. Remove two radiator mount bolts.
  14.  
  15. Remove the radiator fan with the motor
  16.  
  17. Transfer all necessary components onto the replacement radiator.
  18.  

To install:

  1. Position the radiator and fan shroud assembly. Tighten the radiator bolts to 14 ft. lbs. (19 Nm).
  2.  
  3. Connect the 2 fan motor electrical harness clamps to the fan shroud.
  4.  
  5. Connect the fan motor electrical connector.
  6.  
  7. If equipped with an air pump:
    1. Install the 2 bolts from the air pump outlet pipe. Tighten the air pump outlet pipe bolts to 62 inch lbs. (7 Nm).

    3. Connect the 2 hoses from the air pump outlet pipe.
    4.  

  8.  
  9. Connect the transmission oil cooler lines.
  10.  
  11. Install the radiator outlet hose.
  12.  
  13. Install the radiator inlet hose.
  14.  
  15. Refill the cooling system.
  16.  
  17. Connect the negative battery cable.
    WARNING
     Watch for a potential overheating condition while the engine is operating with the radiator cap off.

  18.  
  19. Start and run the engine until the coolant is at operating temperature.
  20.  
  21. Inspect the transmission fluid level, on vehicles with automatic transmission.
  22.  
  23. Tighten any loose connections as necessary.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Drain the cooling system.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the air pump hoses and the air outlet pipe.
  6.  
  7. Remove the radiator hoses.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect transmission oil cooler lines.
  10.  
  11. Disconnect the fan motor electrical connector.
  12.  
  13. Disconnect two fan motor electrical harness clamps from the fan shroud.
  14.  
  15. Remove two radiator mount bolts.
  16.  
  17. Remove the radiator fan with the motor
  18.  
  19. Transfer all necessary components onto the replacement radiator.
  20.  

To install:

  1. Position the radiator and fan shroud assembly. Tighten the radiator bolts to 14 ft. lbs. (19 Nm).
  2.  
  3. Connect the 2 fan motor electrical harness clamps to the fan shroud.
  4.  
  5. Connect the fan motor electrical connector.
  6.  
  7. Install the 2 bolts from the air pump outlet pipe. Tighten the air pump outlet pipe bolts to 62 inch lbs. (7 Nm).
  8.  
  9. Connect the 2 hoses from the air pump outlet pipe.
  10.  
  11. Connect the transmission oil cooler lines.
  12.  
  13. Install the radiator outlet hose.
  14.  
  15. Install the radiator inlet hose.
  16.  
  17. Refill the cooling system.
  18.  
  19. Connect the negative battery cable.
  20.  
  21. Start and run the engine until the coolant is at operating temperature.
  22.  
  23. Inspect the transmission fluid level, on vehicles with automatic transmission.
  24.  
  25. Tighten any loose connections as necessary.
