REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Drain the engine coolant from the radiator.

  1. Remove the air duct.
  2.  
  3. Remove the engine coolant reservoir tank and bracket.
  4.  
  5. Remove the air damper case.
  6.  
  7. Remove the supercharger blower.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the power steering reservoir.
  10.  
  11. Remove the radiator.
  12.  
  13. Remove the throttle body.
  14.  
  15. Remove the alternator/power steering drive belt.
  16.  
  17. Remove the power steering pump.
  18.  
  19. Remove the drive belt for the supercharger.
  20.  
  21. Remove the No. 2 idler pulley by extracting the nut, plate, and the spacer.
  22.  
  23. Remove the No. 1 air inlet duct with the supercharger bypass valve as follows:
    1. Disconnect the supercharger bypass valve harness.
    2.  
    3. Disconnect the brake booster hose.
    4.  
    5. Disconnect the A/C idle up air hose.
    6.  
    7. Disengage the supercharger magnetic clutch connector.
    8.  
    9. Disengage the supercharger magnetic clutch connector from the No.1 hose support bracket.
    10.  
    11. Remove the air hoses and three way.
    12.  
    13. Remove the two bolts and two nuts holding the supercharger bypass valve to the No. 1 air outlet duct.
    14.  
    15. Remove the five nuts and the No. 1 air inlet duct with the supercharger bypass valve.
    16.  
    17. Remove the supercharger bypass valve and No. 1 air inlet duct gaskets.

  25. Pull off the No. 1 idle up pipe by removing the bolt and air hose.
  26.  
  27. Disconnect the No. 1 air tube.
  28.  
  29. Remove the No. 1 intake air connector bracket by removing the two bolts.
  30.  
  31. Remove the supercharger as follows:
    1. Remove the two bolts and two nuts holding the supercharger to the equipment drive housing.
    2.  
    3. Remove the six nuts holding the supercharger to the No. 1 air outlet duct.
    4.  
    5. Separate the supercharger and No. 1 air outlet duct and remove the gasket.
    6.  
    7. Remove the supercharger and No. 1 air outlet duct from the vehicle.

To install:
  1. Install the supercharger as follows:
    1. Install the supercharger and No. 1 air outlet duct to the vehicle.
    2.  
    3. Connect the supercharger and No. 1 air outlet duct with a new gasket.
    4.  
    5. Install the six nuts to hold the supercharger to the No. 1 air outlet duct. Tighten the nuts to 82 inch lbs. (9 Nm).
    6.  
    7. Install the two bolts and two nuts to hold the supercharger to the equipment drive housing. Tighten the bolts and nuts to 27 ft. lbs. (37 Nm).

  3. Install the No. 1 intake air connector bracket with the two bolts. Tighten the bolts to 13 ft. lbs. (18 Nm).

  5. Connect the No.1 air tube.
  6.  
  7. Install the No. 1 idle up pipe by connecting the air hose and installing the bolt. Tighten the bolts to 69 inch lbs. (7.5 Nm).
  8.  
  9. Install the No. 1 air inlet duct with the supercharger bypass valve as follows:
    1. Connect the supercharger bypass valve to the No. 1 air outlet duct. Install the two bolts and two nuts and tighten the bolts and nuts to 48 inch lbs. (5 Nm).

    3. Install the air hoses and three way valve.
    4.  
    5. Install the No. 1 air hose support bracket and two bolts. Tighten the bolts to 69 inch lbs. (8 Nm).
    6.  
    7. attach the supercharger magnetic clutch connector to the No. 1 hose support bracket.
    8.  
    9. Connect the A/C idle up air hose.
    10.  
    11. Attach the supercharger magnetic clutch connector.
    12.  
    13. Connect the brake booster hose.
    14.  
    15. Attach the supercharger bypass valve connector.

  11. Install the No. 2 idler pulley with the spacer, plate, and the nut.
  12.  
  13. Install and adjust the drive belt for the supercharger.
  14.  
  15. Postion the power steering pump. Tighten the long bolts to 35 ft. lbs. (48 Nm) and the short bolts to 27 ft. lbs. (36 Nm).
  16.  
  17. Install and adjust the alternator/power steering drive belts.
  18.  
  19. Install the throttle body.
  20.  
  21. Install the radiator. Tighten the radiator bolts to 13 ft. lbs. (18 Nm). Attach all connectors, hoses and shrouds.
  22.  
  23. Connect the power steering reservoir with the two bolts. Tighten the bolts to 9 ft. lbs. (13 Nm).
  24.  
  25. Install the supercharger blower.
  26.  
  27. Attach the air damper case.
  28.  
  29. Install the engine coolant reservoir and bracket.
  30.  
  31. Install the air duct.
  32.  
  33. Fill the radiator with engine coolant.
  34.  
  35. Reset any electronic components such as the radio.
  36.  
  37. Check all fluids.
  38.
