Power Steering Pump



All Tercels use ATF Dexron®II transmission fluid.

The fluid level in the power steering reservoir should be checked at least every 15,000 miles (24,000 km) or 1 year. The vehicle should be parked on level ground, with the engine warm and running at normal idle. Remove the filler cap and check the level on the dipstick; it should be in between the edges of the cross-hatched area on older models or within the HOT area of the dipstick on newer models. If the level is low, add Dexron®II type ATF until the proper level is achieved.
