  1. Remove the door trim panel.
  2.  
  3. Remove the water deflector shield and lower the window glass fully.
  4.  
  5. Carefully pry out the outer door glass weatherstrip from its retaining clips.
  6.  
  7. If necessary, remove the access hole cover.
  8.  
  9. Remove the window mounting nuts/bolts.
  10.

  1. Carefully remove the glass through the top of the door.
  2.  
  3. Remove the window regulator mounting bolts, then remove the regulator
  4.  

To install:
  1. If the window glass is to be replaced:
    1. Remove the sash channel from the glass.
    2.  
    3. Apply a solution of soapy water to the sash channel.
    4.  
    5. Install the channel to the new glass using a plastic hammer to tap the sash into place. Note that the sash channel must be exactly positioned on the glass or the bolt holes will not align at reinstallation.

  3. Install the regulator and tighten the bolts evenly.
  4.  
  5. Install the window glass, then install the window mounting nuts/bolts.
  6.  
  7. Wind the window slowly up and down and observe its movement and alignment. The position of the glass can be adjusted by moving the equalizing arm bracket up or down.
  8.  
  9. Install the outer weatherstrip.
  10.  
  11. Install the access panel and water deflector, making sure it is intact and properly sealed.
  12.  
  13. Install the door trim panel.
  14.  

Rear Doors

See Figures 10 and 11

  1. Remove the door trim panel.
  2.  
  3. Remove the water deflector shield and lower the window glass fully.
  4.  
  5. Carefully pry the outer door glass weatherstrip from its retaining clips.
  6.  
  7. On some models, it may be necessary to remove the stationary glass from the door. Refer to the appropriate service procedure in this section.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the glass from the regulator arm.
  10.  
  11. Carefully remove the glass through the top of the door.
  12.  
  13. Remove the window regulator mounting bolts, then remove the regulator.
  14.

To install:
  1. If the window glass is to be replaced:

  11. Install the outer weatherstrip.

  13. Install the water deflector, making sure it is intact and properly sealed.

  15. Install the door trim panel.
