Ignition Coil 3 Primary Feedback Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Ignition coil primary circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
Ignition coil is damaged or has failed
 
Ignition system "noise" filter may be shorted to ground
 
PCM has failed

Ignition Coil 4 Primary Feedback Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Ignition coil primary circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
Ignition coil is damaged or has failed
 
Ignition system "noise" filter may be shorted to ground
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1335



Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



CKP sensor signal (+) or (-) circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to system power (an intermittent fault)
 
CKP sensor is damaged or has failed (an intermittent fault)
 
Crankshaft reluctor wheel contains debris or is damaged
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1336



CKP Sensor System Variation Not Learned

Possible Causes:



Set the parking brake and block the drive wheels for safety.
 
Verify the hood is closed.
 
Read the trouble codes. If a code is set, refer to that code.
 
Start the engine. Allow engine temperature to reach at least 158ºF (70ºC). Then key off.
 
Select Crankshaft Position Variation Learn procedure on Scan Tool & start the vehicle.
 
Apply the brake pedal firmly and verify the selector is in Park.
 
Increase accelerator pedal position until fuel cutoff is reached at the test rpm (e.g., 5150). Quickly release the accelerator pedal after fuel cutoff is reached. The CKP system variation compensating values are learned when the engine speed (rpm) decreases back to idle speed and the procedure terminates.
 
Read the trouble codes and recheck for DTC P1336.
 
If DTC P1336 runs and passes, the CKP system variation "learn" procedure is complete. If not, look for other codes. If no codes are set, repeat the test procedure.
 

Trouble Code: P1349



Intake Camshaft Position System Performance

Possible Causes:



Camshaft is incorrectly installed or incorrectly timed
 
CMP System actuator is damaged or has failed
 
Check the oil passages to the actuator for a restriction
 
Timing chain has jumper or is worn out
 

Trouble Code: P1520



Stop Lamp Switch Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Stop lamp switch signal circuit is shorted to system power (B+)
 
Stop lamp switch is damaged or has failed (in closed position)
 
Stop lamp switch is out-of-adjustment
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1600



PCM Battery Circuit

Possible Causes:



Backup Power Supply circuit is open (check the Dome fuse)
 
Battery connections are corroded, dirty or loose
 
Battery has been disconnected or removed
 
PCM has failed

PCM Long Term Memory Error

Possible Causes:



Record any related trouble codes in memory
 
Reprogram the PCM and recheck for the same trouble code
 
If the same trouble code resets, replace & reprogram the PCM
 
Perform the Security System (Passlock) Relearn Procedure

Intake CMP Actuator Solenoid Control Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Intake Actuator solenoid control circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to system power (B+)
 
Intake Actuator solenoid power circuit is open
 
Intake Actuator solenoid is damaged or has failed
 
PCM has failed

A/T Input Shaft Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



ISS connector is damaged, open or shorted
 
ISS low signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
ISS high signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
ISS low and high signal circuit are shorted together
 
ISS assembly is damaged or it has failed
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: P1760



A/T Line Pressure Solenoid Control Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:



SLT control connector is damaged, open or shorted
 
SLT control circuit is open or shorted to ground
 
SLT control circuit is shorted to system power
 
SLT assembly is damaged or it has failed
 
PCM has failed
 

Trouble Code: U1000



Class 2 Communication Malfunction

Possible Causes:



Class 2 circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to power
 
PCM ignition power circuit(s) has a high resistance condition
 
PCM main ground circuit(s) has a high resistance condition
 
SDM (module) could be shorted pulling the voltage low
 

Trouble Code: U1016



No Communication With Powertrain Control Module

Possible Causes:



PCM Class 2 circuit is open, shorted to ground or to B+
 
PCM ignition power circuit(s) has a high resistance condition
 
PCM main ground circuit(s) has a high resistance condition
 
PCM (module) may have failed and is pulling the circuit low

No Communication With Rear Wheel Steering Control Module

Possible Causes:



RWSCM Class 2 circuit is open, shorted to ground or to B+
 
RWSCM ignition power circuit has a high resistance condition
 
RESCM main ground circuit(s) has a high resistance condition
 
RESCM (module) may have failed and is pulling the circuit low

No Communication With Body Control Module

Possible Causes:



BCM Class 2 circuit is open, shorted to ground or to B+
 
BCM ignition power circuit has a high resistance condition

DIC Class 2 circuit is open, shorted to ground or to B+
 
DIC ignition power circuit has a high resistance condition

DIC (module) may have failed and is pulling the circuit low

No Communication With Vehicle Interface Unit

Possible Causes:



VIU Class 2 circuit is open, shorted to ground or to B+
 
VIU ignition power circuit has a high resistance condition

No Communication With HVAC Control Module

Possible Causes:



HVAC Class 2 circuit is open, shorted to ground or to B+

Class 2 serial data line has either a high or low voltage condition on the circuit, and the module cannot identify the fault
