  1. Remove the brake drum.
  2.  
  3. Remove both shoe retaining springs.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the lower return spring.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the hand brake cable from the lever attached to the rear shoe.
  8.  
  9. Remove the upper return spring and clip.
  10.  
  11. Remove the brake shoes and connecting link.
  12.  
  13. Remove the emergency brake lever from the rear shoe.
  14.  
  15. Lubricate the adjusting screws and the star wheel against the head of the adjusting screw.
  16.  
  17. Reverse Steps 1-7 to install the shoes.
  18.  
  19. Adjust the brakes.
