Possible Causes:



Fuel pump has failed
 
Actuator circuit is open
 
ECM has failed
 
Battery voltage below 11.5 volts
 
Position actuator circuit may short to B+ or Ground

-A- Camshaft Position Timing Over-Advanced (Bank 1)

Possible Causes:



Fuel pump has failed
 
CPS circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to power
 
ECM has failed
 
Battery voltage below 11.5 volts
 
Position actuator circuit may short to B+ or Ground
 
Camshaft timing improperly set, or continuous oil flow to the VCT piston chamber
 
Camshaft advance mechanism (the VCT unit) is sticking or binding mechanically
 
VCT solenoid valve is stuck in open position

-A- Camshaft Position Over-Retarded (Bank 1)

Possible Causes:



Fuel pump has failed
