Wheel Speed Sensor Rotors (Toothed Rings)

Removal & Installation



Front
  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Inspect the rotor for dirt and/or damage by rotating the Halfshaft (drive axle).
  4.  
  5. If the rotor is damaged or needs to be replaced, the halfshaft must be removed together with rotor and the outer constant velocity joint must be replaced. Refer to the Drive Train Section for Halfshaft Removal & Installation.

Rear
AWD Vehicles
  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Inspect the rotor for dirt and/or damage.
  4.  
  5. If the rotor is damaged or needs to be replaced, the drive axle must be removed together with rotor and the drive axle must be replaced along with the outer constant velocity joint, as outlined in the Drive Train Section.

FWD Vehicles
  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Inspect the rotor for dirt and/or damage.
  4.  
  5. If the rotor is damaged or needs to be replaced, the tension disc must be removed and replaced.
