Oil Pressure Switch
The oil pressure switch can be found on top of the oil filter mounting flange and/or threaded into the back of the cylinder head (on the transaxle side). Use a deep socket or a wrench to remove the switch. Before installing the switch, apply a sealer to the threads. Torque the switch to 87 inch lbs. (10 Nm) on models through 1984 (except Quantum). On other models, torque the switch to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).Water Temperature Sensor
The water temperature sensor can usually be found either on the coolant inlet or outlet housing on the cylinder head. A deep socket or a wrench can be used to remove the sensor. Apply a sealant to the threads before installing the sensor. Torque to 5 ft. lbs. (7 Nm).Cooling Fan (Thermo) Switch
The cooling fan switch can be found near the bottom of the radiator. A deep socket or a wrench can be used to remove the switch. Always replace the seal if the switch is loosened or removed. Torque to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm) on models through 1984 (except Quantum). On other models, torque to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
