REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



1.8L, 2.0L and 2.8L Engines

Fig. Once the bolts have been removed, pull the oil pump pickup tube down and toward you. You may have to gently rock the tube to free it from the pump

  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle and remove the oil pan.
  2.  
  3. Remove the mounting bolts and lower the pump from the engine.
  4.  
  5. Install the oil pump in the reverse order of removal.
  6.  
  7. Observe the following values:

    Oil pump bottom cover bolts-7 ft. lbs. (10 Nm)
     
    Oil pump suction foot bolts-7 ft. lbs. (10 Nm)
     
    Oil pump retaining bolts-18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm)
