Hydraulic System Bleeding




CAUTION
Use only DOT 4+ brake fluid.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2.  
  3. Depress the clutch pedal a few times to purge the air bubbles in the master cylinder.
  4.  
  5. Connect a hose from a drain bottle to the nipple on the slave cylinder.
  6.  
  7. While the clutch pedal is depressed to the floor, open the bleed nipple.
  8.  
  9. Hold the pedal to the floor to allow brake fluid and air bubble to exit through the hose. Close the nipple.
  10.  
  11. Repeat this procedure until no air bubbles are visible in the escaping fluid.
  12.  
  13. Pump the clutch pedal a few times to build pressure in the system.
  14.  
  15. Check the fluid reservoir. The fluid level should not be above the MAX level.
  16.
