CABLE ACTUATED CLUTCHES

No adjustment is possible on the hydraulic clutch.

  1. Loosen the locknut for the fork on the clutch cable.
  2.

  1. Make the necessary adjustment and tighten the locknut. The free-play (A) at the fork should be 3-5mm for all 4-cylinder engines except the Turbo, 1-3mm for the Gas and Diesel Turbo engines, and 4-5mm for the 164.

  1. If this adjustment is insufficient, or if a new cable is installed, the sleeve attachment to the flywheel housing should be adjusted with the adjusting nuts. The free-play adjusted at the fork will be noticeable as free-play in the pedal.
