FLUID RECOMMENDATION AND LEVEL CHECK

See Figures 1, 2 and 3

The level of brake fluid in the master cylinder should be checked weekly. The master cylinder is located on the left side of the engine compartment in front of the firewall. The level may be checked without removing the cap by simply observing whether or not the fluid is up to the maximum mark on the translucent reservoir. Top up as necessary with DOT 4 quality fluid. Take care not to drop any foreign matter or dirt into the reservoir. Make sure that the vent hole in the reservoir cap is not blocked. Always wipe off the cap and reservoir area before opening the reservoir; this will help assure that no dirt gets into the fluid.

WARNING
Do not allow brake fluid to come in contact with any painted surfaces of the car. If this occurs, immediately rinse the area with clear water.
