Aside from the yearly greasing of all the joints for the throttle linkage, parking brake, and pedal linkages, no regular greasing of front-end components or universal joints is required. Use regular chassis lube on the above-mentioned joints once a year or if binding is noticed.
The upper and lower control arm ball joints as well as the tie rod and steering rod ball joints are lined with plastic (Teflon®) and do not require lubrication. However, every 12,000 miles (19,324 km), check the rubber seals of these ball joints for cracking or damage. Replace any damaged seal with a new one, making sure to pack the new seal with multipurpose chassis grease.
