  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4.
  5. Attempt to slide the sunroof glass towards the open position, by connecting a jumper wire between the sunroof switch low reference circuit and the sunroof switch open signal circuit of the sunroof switch harness connector, for 3 seconds.
    1. If the sunroof opens, inspect for a poor connection at the sunroof switch.
    2.
    3. If the sunroof does not open, remove the jumper wires. Measure the voltage of the sunroof switch open signal circuit at the sunroof switch harness connector to ground. The specified value should be 4.6-5.2 volts. Ensure that the fuse is conducting electricity to the circuit.
    4.

  6.
  7. Measure between the battery positive voltage circuit of the sunroof control module and the ground circuit at the sunroof module harness connector. The voltage measure should be near the specified value of 12 volts.
  8.
  9. Inspect for poor connections at the sunroof motor and the switch.
  10.
  11. Once testing and/or repair work is completed:
    1. Remove any jumper wires.
    2.
    3. Reconnect all previously disconnected components.
    4.
    5. Replace sunroof fuse, if necessary.
    6.
    7. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
    8.
    9. Operate the system in order to verify any repairs made.
