Before servicing any vehicle, please be sure to read the precautions section, which deals with personal safety, prevention of component damage, and important points to take into consideration when servicing a motor vehicle.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Drain the cooling system.
  4.  
  5. Remove the front fascia.
    1. Remove headlight assemblies, front bumper fascia support and lower fascia for standard front bumper.
    2.  
    3. Remove headlamp assemblies, front bumper fascia support, and front bumper fascia upper grille for Redline.
    4.  

  6.  
  7. Remove the battery box inlet air duct.

  9. Remove the Condenser Radiator Fan Module (CRFM) closeout panel retainers from the condenser.
  10.  
  11. Remove the CRFM closeout panel from the condenser.
  12.  
  13. Remove the fan assembly bolts from the radiator.
  14.  
  15. Lift the fan assembly to disengage the lower retention tabs.
  16.  
  17. Position the fan assembly away from the radiator.

  19. Lift the condenser while holding the upper retention tabs forward.
  20.  
  21. Position the condenser away from the radiator.

  23. Disconnect the transaxle cooler liners from the transaxle cooler, if equipped.
  24.  
  25. Remove the transaxle cooler bolt from the radiator, if equipped.
  26.  
  27. Lift the transaxle cooler while holding the upper retention tabs forward, if equipped.
  28.  
  29. Remove the transaxle cooler from the vehicle

  31. Remove the CRFM bracket bolts from the radiator support.
  32.  
  33. Remove the CRFM brackets from the radiator.
  34.  
  35. Remove the radiator inlet hose clamp from the radiator.
  36.  
  37. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.
  38.  
  39. Remove the radiator outlet hose clamp from the radiator.
  40.  
  41. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.
  42.  
  43. Remove the radiator from the vehicle.
  44.  
  45. Remove the radiator seals from the radiator.

To install:

  1. Install the radiator seals to the radiator.
  2.  
  3. Install the radiator to the vehicle.
  4.  
  5. Install the radiator outlet hose to the radiator.
  6.  
  7. Install the radiator outlet hose clamp to the radiator.
  8.  
  9. Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
  10.  
  11. Install the radiator inlet hose clamp to the radiator.
  12.  
  13. Install the CRFM bracket to the radiator support.
    NOTE
    Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  15. Install the CRFM brackets bolts to the radiator. Tighten the bolts to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).
  16.  
  17. Install the transaxle cooler to the vehicle, if equipped. Press down to engage the upper retention tabs.
  18.  
  19. Install the transaxle cooler bolt to the radiator, if equipped. Tighten the bolt to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).
  20.  
  21. Connect the transaxle cooler liners to the transaxle cooler, if equipped.
  22.  
  23. Install the condenser to the radiator. Press down to engage the upper retention tabs.
  24.  
  25. Install the fan assembly to the radiator.
  26.  
  27. Install the fan assembly bolts to the radiator. Tighten the bolts to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).
  28.  
  29. Install the CRFM closeout panel to the condenser.
  30.  
  31. Install the CRFM closeout panel retainers to the condenser.
  32.  
  33. Install the battery box inlet air duct.
  34.  
  35. Install the front fascia.
  36.  
  37. Fill the cooling system.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Drain and recycle the engine coolant.
  4.  
  5. Remove the front fascia.
  6.  
  7. Remove the battery box inlet air duct.
  8.  
  9. Remove the Condenser Radiator Fan Module (CRFM) closeout panel retainers from the condenser.
  10.  
  11. Remove the CRFM closeout panel from the condenser.
  12.  
  13. Remove the fan assembly bolts from the radiator.
  14.  
  15. Lift the fan assembly to disengage the lower retention tabs.
  16.  
  17. Position the fan assembly away from the radiator.
  18.  
  19. Remove the front bumper impact bar.
  20.  
  21. Lift the condenser while holding the upper retention tabs forward.
  22.  
  23. Position the condenser away from the radiator.
  24.  
  25. Remove or disconnect the following:

    The transaxle cooler lines from the radiator, if equipped
     
    The CRFM bracket bolts from the radiator support
     
    The CRFM brackets from the radiator
     
    The radiator inlet hose clamp from the radiator
     
    The radiator inlet hose from the radiator
     
    The radiator outlet hose clamp from the radiator
     
    The radiator outlet hose from the radiator
     
    The radiator from the vehicle
     
    The radiator seals from the radiator

To install:

  1. Install or connect the following:

    The radiator seals to the radiator
     
    The radiator to the vehicle
     
    The radiator outlet hose to the radiator
     
    The radiator outlet hose clamp to the radiator
     
    The radiator inlet hose to the radiator
     
    The radiator inlet hose clamp to the radiator
     
    The CRFM bracket to the radiator support
     
    The CRFM brackets bolts to the radiator. Tighten the bolt to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm)
     
    The transaxle cooler lines to the radiator, if equipped. Tighten the fittings to 12 ft. lbs. (16 Nm)
     
    The condenser to the radiator. Press down to engage the upper retention tabs
     
    The fan assembly to the radiator
     
    The fan assembly bolts to the radiator. Tighten the bolts to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm)
     
    The front bumper impact bar
     
    The CRFM closeout panel to the condenser
     
    The CRFM closeout panel retainers to the condenser
     
    The battery box inlet air duct
     
    The front fascia

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  5. Remove the front fascia:
    1. Remove headlight assemblies, front bumper fascia support and lower fascia for standard front bumper.
    2.  
    3. Remove headlamp assemblies, front bumper fascia support, and front bumper fascia upper grille for Redline.
    4.  

  6.  
  7. Remove the Condenser Radiator Fan Module (CRFM) closeout panel retainers from the condenser.
  8.  
  9. Remove the CRFM closeout panel from the condenser.

  11. Remove the fan assembly bolts from the radiator.
  12.  
  13. Lift the fan assembly to disengage the lower retention tabs.
  14.  
  15. Position the fan assembly away from the radiator.
  16.  
  17. Remove the fan assembly bolts from the radiator.
  18.  
  19. Lift the fan assembly to disengage the lower retention tabs.
  20.  
  21. Position the fan assembly away from the radiator.
  22.  
  23. Remove the fan assembly bolts from the radiator.
  24.  
  25. Lift the fan assembly to disengage the lower retention tabs.
  26.  
  27. Position the fan assembly away from the radiator.
  28.  
  29. Lift the condenser while holding the upper retention tabs forward.
  30.  
  31. Position the condenser away from the radiator.
  32.  
  33. Disconnect the transaxle cooler liners from the radiator.

  35. Remove the CRFM bracket bolts from the radiator support.
  36.  
  37. Remove the CRFM brackets from the radiator.
  38.  
  39. Remove the radiator inlet hose clamp from the radiator.
  40.  
  41. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.

  43. Remove the radiator outlet hose clamp from the radiator.

  45. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.

  47. Remove the radiator from the vehicle.

  49. Remove the radiator seals from the radiator.

To install:

  1. Install or connect the following:
    NOTE
    Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application.     The radiator seals to the radiator
     
    The radiator to the vehicle
     
    The radiator outlet hose to the radiator
     
    The radiator outlet hose clamp to the radiator
     
    The CRFM bracket to the radiator support
     



    The CRFM brackets bolts to the radiator. Tighten the bolt to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm)
     

  2.  
  3. Connect the transaxle cooler liners to the radiator

    The condenser to the radiator. Press down to engage the upper retention tabs
     
    The fan assembly to the radiator
     
    The fan assembly bolts to the radiator. Tighten the bolts to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm)
     
    The CRFM closeout panel to the condenser
     
    The CRFM closeout panel retainers to the condenser
     
    The front fascia
     

  4.  
  5. Fill the cooling system.
