Transmission Control Solenoid

Transmission Control Solenoid Operation:

Like all solenoids they receive a voltage signal that excites an electromagnetic coil which pushes or pulls a plunger/linkage to function as a movement actuated controller. Transmission control solenoids can be used for torque converter lockup, shifting and lockup, pressure regulator control, and kickdown for passing gear. They are also vibration resistant, rated for high temperature environments and can operate immersed in fluids.
