Clutch Disc

Clutch Disc Operation:

A rotating, round metal plate covered with a friction lining and clamped between the flywheel and pressure plate. The splines in the center mesh with the splines on the transmission input shaft. This allows the disc and transmission input shaft to spin together. However, the disc is free to move back and forth on the input shaft.

How To Instructions:

Inspect - Check for obvious problems.
Replace - Out with the old, in with the new.
