Oil Pump Shaft

Oil Pump Shaft Operation:

Some models use an intermediate shaft that extends from the distributor shaft, while others use a gear driven shaft. The oil pump driveshaft interlocks with the shaft socket on the oil pump and turns gears to draw oil in, pressurize the oil and force it out through the oil galleries.
