Wireset

Wireset Operation:

Spark plug wires sold in matched sets. They carry high voltage electrical pulses from the distributor or ignition coils to the spark plugs. Rubber boots are fitted at both ends of each wire to keep oil and moisture from the metal contacts and to contain the spark. They have a high temperature outer covering and a woven sheathing for strength against separation. The shielded coax covers the graphite center core. Off road vehicles sometimes use a metallic core wire that has no signal suppression qualities but still sends voltage to the spark plug.Because of the extreme heat the exhaust manifolds generate, cable sets with silicone boots seem to be the most durable.

How To Instructions:

Inspect - Check for obvious problems.
Test - Give it an in-depth diagnosis.
Replace - Out with the old, in with the new.
