Door Lock Assembly

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



R/V Series

See Figures 1 and 2

  1. Raise the window completely.
  2.  
  3. Remove the door trim panel.
  4.  
  5. Using a suitable flat bladed tool, push on the top of the door lock rod clips and pivot the clip away from the rod.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the door handle to lock rod from the lock.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the outside door handle to lock rod clip, using the same procedure as in Step 3.
  10.  
  11. Remove the inside door lock knob.
  12.  
  13. Remove the door to lock assembly screws, then tilt the lock assembly away from the outside lock cylinder. Pull the lock assembly downward to make clearance for the inside lock rod and remove the lock assembly from the door.
  14.  

To install:
  1. Align the lock rod to the hole in the door panel. Tilt the lock assembly onto the outside lock cylinder.
  2.  
  3. Install the door to lock assembly screws.
  4.  
  5. Install the inside door lock knob.
  6.  
  7. Install the outside door handle to lock rod onto the lock assembly.
  8.  
  9. Pivot the clip up and onto the lock rod.
  10.  
  11. Install the inside door handle to the lock rod onto the lock assembly.
  12.  
  13. Pivot the clip up and onto the lock rod.
  14.  
  15. Install the door trim panel.
  16.  

C/K Series
  1. Door trim panel.
  2.  
  3. Peel off the water deflector.
  4.  
  5. Remove the door module attaching screws and tilt the module out at the top.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the outside handle lock rod from the lock mechanism.
  8.  
  9. Using a screwdriver, reach between the glass and door and press down on the top of the lock cylinder assembly to disengage the lock cylinder rod from the cylinder.

  1. Remove the lock mechanism attaching screws and remove the mechanism.
  2.  
  3. Install the assembly and tighten the lock screws to 5 ft. lbs. (7 Nm).
  4.
