Perfect Fit - 2000 Toyota Sienna

When attempting to remove my passenger-front wheel to swap out some brake pads I found the lug nuts to be very difficult to remove. Although I replaced the tires on the same vehicle 2 months ago and experienced no problem removing and replacing the wheel, the removal of the nuts in this instance was extremely difficult. I was able to get the nuts to the edge of each stud but as I continued to attempt to unscrew the nuts, they became increasingly more difficult to move. Eventually each nut came off, at a 30 degree angle. The lugs were shot at this point. I have no idea why this happened. I considered heat, and expansion of the metal as a possible cause. However, this minivan has been stationary for nearly a month. The brakes were cold. It's 78 degrees outside. For now, I'm contributing my issue to long-term wear. This van is a 2000 and has 148k miles. I've taken very good care of it but in this case, age seemed to be culprit.

For those who will attempt to install these lugs and fail... These lugs do not simply pull through the hub by hand. They are serrated but you'll never line them up perfectly. The easy solution? You will need to thread the lug nut onto the lug (flat side of the nut against the front of the hub) after the lug is inserted through the rear of the hub. Next, tighten the nut until the lug is pulled snug against the back of the hub (*Remember to use anti-seize paste on the serrated parts of the stud) DO NOT hammer your lug into place! I repeat, DO NOT hammer your lug into place! For those interested, here is a fantastic DIY YT video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inghJaU2ZUY). Hope this helped!

Pros: Easy to install, Perfect Fit

Cons: Only 9 in stock. Required 10.
