BMW 325i Alternator
AutoZone's top-quality 325i performance alternators play a key role in how your car operates, and the alternator ensures an adequate supply of electricity in a number of critical areas. An alternator for BMW 325i has an output that falls between 13.5 and 14.8 volts, meaning your battery remains fully charged, and yet there's still enough energy to power your ride's entire electrical system. Order your alternator through AutoZone now and enjoy Same Day Store Pickup. AutoZone stores provide free battery charging and engine diagnostic testing.

Alternator replacement
Louie855
in a year
The battery light on the instrument panel started to come on intermittently at first, then finally stayed on continuously after a day or two. The Autozone near me performed a free battery and alternator test. The alternator was undercharging and failed the test. I promptly purchased an alternator and a new serpentine belt (as well as the a/c belt). No sense in putting back the old belt which had about 50K miles on it. The replacement Duralast alternator matched the original part perfectly. The repair required quite a bit of disassembly due to the alternator's location and the rather tight engine compartment of the BMW 325ix. The engine air filter box, clutch fan and fan shroud had to be removed to gain access to the alternator. A 32mm special tool is required to remove the fan. Note: The fan has left-hand thread and needs to be turned clockwise to loosen. For the belt tensioner, a pry bar sufficed.
