About
Chevrolet Tahoe Alternator

Your best-in-class, full-size Chevrolet Tahoe combines style with performance and utility. An old alternator doesn't provide your SUV with enough power to keep you functioning at 100 percent, though. Replacing your Chevrolet Tahoe alternator ensures that you get maximum voltage output so you and your family can ride in style.

Your highly-ranked Tahoe deserves only the best replacement parts, and AutoZone sells Tahoe performance alternators that keep your SUV's electrical system well supplied. Alternators play a crucial role in how your Tahoe runs and performs. A lack of voltage either from your battery or old alternator robs your vehicle of the power needed to function properly. Stop by an AutoZone for a free battery charging and engine diagnostic testing to see the benefits of a new alternator for your Chevy.

Suspected OEM alternator was bad or going bad. Never had any service lights indicating an issue. When truck wouldn't start on it's own but would with a jump then figured out it must be the alternator. Coils on original were deep blue which indicates excessive electrical heat. Got it home, took it off, and had local store check it. Failed test. The Duralast Gold higher amperage (145) was cheaper than the standard 105 amps. Used a 20% discount to purchase the 145 amp alternator. New alternator bolted right in but the slightly larger diameter made getting the serpentine belt on harder. Had to put the alternator on without mounting bolts and the pry the inside of alternator up to get the bolt started and then do the same for the outside bolt. Not ideal but it worked. Not sure if this issue is the same for the other alternators. Charged the battery for an hour just to get it started and then drove for about 10 miles. Voltage gauge settled down to a normal level and it was pretty much fully charged by the time I got home. Seems to be an excellent product. Hopefully this will help make batteries last longer. Always seem to have a good experience with most Duralast products.

Original Delphi GM Alternator Rebuilt GREAT PART

J.

in a year

This is a Original Delphi GM Alternator casing that is rebuilt. I always search for OEM first when shopping for parts. This was the EXACT same as my stock alternator; installed easy. 3,000 miles and it is still working great.... PLUS, LIFETIME WARRANTY.
