Dodge 1500 Alternator
It's usually time to change your Dodge 1500 alternator if you notice signs like a dead battery or difficulty starting your vehicle. If your car stalls frequently, or if your headlights are overly dim or bright, those are additional signs that the alternator isn't working properly and can't direct electricity as it should. Naturally, a battery warning light on the dashboard may also indicate that the alternator should be swapped out soon.

Dodge 1500 Alternator
Replacing a Dodge 1500 Alternator
You can replace any Dodge 1500 alternator in an hour or two, typically. Disconnect the negative battery cable, then locate your vehicle's alternator on the front of the engine. Next, remove the drive belt, drive belt tensioner, and any other potentially interfering components, including electrical wiring. Then just unbolt the old alternator, place the new alternator in the same spot, and reverse the process. Wrap up by reattaching the electrical harness and drive belt.AutoZone has the perfect Dodge 1500 alternators for your needs. Filter through the available parts by year, make, model, and engine size, then either pick up your part with Same-Day In-Store Pickup and Free Next-Day Delivery on eligible orders.
