GMC Sonoma Alternator

Your compact GMC Sonoma provides the convenience and hauling capabilities of a truck along with the comfort and maneuverability of a car. Make sure you're getting the power you need by upgrading to a GMC Sonoma alternator from AutoZone. It supplies your battery with the voltage necessary for improved performance.

The alternator for GMC Sonoma works with the battery to create an electrical charge. The alternator changes the mechanical energy created by the engine's rotating crankshaft into electricity. It's this current that runs the accessories on your truck. Whether you have factory lights and stereo, or you've upgraded to aftermarket parts such as auxiliary lights or a killer sound system, Sonoma performance alternators do the job. If you decide to visit your local store, our knowledgeable employees are standing by to provide the answers to all your automotive questions.

Purchased this about a year ago to replace 12 year old OEM AC Delco in my GM. About 8 months after I got it the rectifier started going out, 2 months later the voltage fluctuations were so bad the headlights were strobing at idle and my electronics started acting up. Ranges between 8 volts and 18.
