              About 2003 Honda Accord Alternator

              How an Alternator Works

A serpentine belt snakes around the crankshaft pulley and the alternator pulley, spinning it constantly when the engine is running. It spins a rotor containing magnets within a stator coil, generating an electrical field. It's first changed from alternating current to direct current that your Accord can use, then delivered to components on demand. The electricity generated also recharges your car's battery so you can start the engine for your next drive.

Using U-tube for installation of the alternator and getting the battery fully charged made installation easy.

I’m just a guy who know a little about cars and definitely no expert.. I purchased the alternator after doing some test I seen on YouTube. My son and I put the alternator in. While we were at autozone we also had the battery charged. After we installed the alternator the car started and we thought we were good to go. I should have done all the checks again but wasn’t thinking. After a week, the car died again. I ran all the test again and everything pointed to a bad alternator. I took the alternator out and back to autozone. The alternator was bad. There was a sticker on the alternator that said triple tested. Hmmmm
