Tried a remanufactured one first, failed immediately. Returned it under warranty and paid the difference for a new one. So far it is still working, will update if anything changes soon

This alternator failed immediately after install. On some cars it’s not a big deal, but on my vehicle replacing the alternator is quite a task due to its location. The product itself would be one star, but the fact that I was able to return it under warranty and pay the difference for a brand new on with no hassle (only about $40 more) is 5 stars, so I settled in the middle for the rating. Honestly unless you have an easy alternator location and the means to get to and from the store to potentially replace multiple remanufactured ones, just buy a new one.
