2001 MBZ ML 320 alternator replacement
Bradley Cotton
in 3 months
AutoZone Rohnert Park is awesome- they had the alternator arrive in 1 day. The replacement was all about “the tensioner “ for my job, I needed an “e-10” hex bolt socket which is different than the normal 17mm tensioner bolt. Just a 1/4,turn counterclockwise, and the belt was loose enough to remove. Once the belt was free, the rest of the job was really easy. AutoZone also had the Dorman replacement conduit to re-wrap the alternator wires since the original conduit covering them was cracked.. it’s just a plastic cover but I did not want to neglect recovering the exposed wires as it could lead to a short in the system later.
