I've got a 2005 Toyota corolla CE, i took my alternator off the car and went to 2 auto parts stores and tested good, in the car no output voltage. i did all my testing, fuse link, broken/corroded power wire/continuity/parasitic draw/ alt 5amp fuse/ both battery terminals from end to end, serpentine belt. NOTHING! everything was reacting the way it should, even the ECM wire to the alternator harness was also fine. brushed grounds for good contact, new battery. i decided it has to be the alternator. i come to auto zone and picked one up anyways, right out the box, the alternator is doing the same thing, at this point i question my abilities with working with cars, go to sleep thinking about this, so i decide to try another auto parts store and BAM! my voltage is back to specs! hope this can help someone out there. also MANY auto zones didn't have this wire harness adapter to test it in there machine.
