Long lasting battery ideal for cold weather

      Shaun

      in 25 days

This is my second Optima Red Top group 35 battery. The previous one lasted me just over 7 years in some of the coldest temperatures in New York State. The previous battery would often have to endure -20F temperatures in the Adirondacks, when my car would sit for days. It never failed me or even struggled to start my car in these temperatures. I always buy a stronger battery than I need to have the extra CCA’s to battle cold weather. The only downside to these batteries are the somewhat odd shape they come in, which could make installation a bit awkward in some vehicles. It is, however, a small drawback when you consider how good they are. My previous Optima battery outlasted my OEM battery by 2 years and always had considerably stronger starting power.

      Asking more than 1 person

      John

      in a year

I went in to buy a battery. The mgr checked the battery and said it was fine and it sounds like a starter. I went back a couple days later to buy a battery jump box. A different mgr Katie C, offer to check my battery as well and it came back bad. So I bought a battery and returned the jump box. Not only did Katie C save me the cost of a new starter but she installed it right there in the parking lot for me
