      I had a Duralast Gold battery that lasted 6 years. I thought I'd try a Platinum battery this time, but not the AGM as my car would require programming for it besides registering. Worked really well and had the right AH rating for my car. Hoping it lasts me a long time too.

      I replaced the battery on my 2005 BMW 325ix recently after it failed a battery load test; a free service performed at my local Autozone parts store. I wasn't surprised, the battery was about 7 years old and showed less than the required voltage. The replacement battery was a Duralast Platinum H7-AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) which, unlike your regular lead-acid flooded battery, was leakproof. The Duralast H7-AGM also was designed to keep up with the high electrical demands of my BMW. Also, this type of battery is perfepct for locations like the trunk where ventilation might be restricted. Of course, I used a memory saver to preserve all my radio presets and likewise not to erase any computer data. The fit was perfect, the dimensions of the new Duralast battery was identical to the original.

      Kudos to the team at AutoZone who quickly confirmed this battery would would fit the battery compartment for my 2006 BMW 325i. The battery I was replacing much smaller in width that the Duralast I purchased. I had my doubts, but I was glad to be wrong as this battery fits perfectly. At this point, I'm very satisfied with the battery and subsequent performance. I realize it's not been time tested having only been installed a few weeks ago, however, if you're doing your research on replacement batteries, you'll find this battery continues to come up as a preferred OEM replacements. You should buy this battery with confidence and rely on the team at AutoZone if you have any additional questions.
