      Chevrolet Tahoe Car Battery

If you can climb into the driver's seat, fire up the engine, and drive away without any problems, your battery's probably healthy. But eventually, you might need a helping hand to get your battery the power it needs to do its jobs. It's because your 2004 Chevy Tahoe battery won't last forever, and whether you need a boost or you've noticed electronics aren't working as well as they used to, a replacement is necessary. AutoZone has the selection you want to find the right battery for your 2004 Chevy Tahoe from trusted brands like Duralast Platinum.

From hundreds of options, how do you know which battery is the right size and capacity for your SUV? Fortunately, they're grouped with similar properties like physical dimensions, the way the posts are positioned, and the cranking amps necessary. The BCI Group Size identifies the batteries built like your original one, and the 2004 Tahoe battery size can include sizes 78 and 75. But others might work too, and our friendly staff are on hand to help you find the best one.

When you need a new battery for your SUV or any other parts, look no further than AutoZone. Need service to your home in a hurry? Next Day Delivery gets your order to you fast.

Tahoe car batteries need to be as tough as your vehicle itself. Duralast batteries are housed in a patented, impact-resistant polypropylene shell to reduce damage from vibration as you traverse a road full of frost heaves or ruts. AutoZone even offers Same-Day Store Pick-up, so when you order from us online, your battery is waiting for you at your local AutoZone. During your next visit to our store, you can benefit from trustworthy advice from our helpful staff and a free diagnostic test for your Tahoe's engine.

Came in with a bad battery. They did not hesitate to help me. It was a hot day. But they went out of their way, went outside and changed the battery in my 2016 Chevy Tahoe. Thank you so much. We enjoy this store very much.

      Been a Good Choice

This battery has been good for my 2002 Tahoe (3 times). They lasted right at 4 years each. Pretty good but have had some that lasted longer. Had to replace this last one after 15 months. I don't think it was the battery that was so bad but the alternator. Replaced the 16 year OEM alternator this week with a Duralast Gold alternator. (Did a revue on it).The 15 month old Duralast Gold battery seemed OK but 2 days later it had discharged. Took it in to AutoZone and the tester showed a higher than normal voltage. They replaced it at no charge under warranty. Put it in and it the engine cranked hard and fast. I see several reviews that state this battery doesn't come up to par. This may be an indication of the alternator/charging. I have had one alternator on another truck that overcharged the battery slightly all the time from the time the truck was new. Alternator tests were just within operating range at idle so it was never suspect. Once I put in a maximum amperage Duralast Gold battery the weakest link was then the alternator and it (the alternator) went bad after 3 years. With this recent bad alternator it appears that it was the cause of the battery failure. Battery holds a charge now in 20 degree weather. When I got stuck at a truck stop 100 miles from home all it took was to get a jump to start the engine and the old battery still had enough reserve to get me home so I could change the alternator and later the battery. Hopefully with both parts being new, the battery will now last longer. The main issue I have with the battery and most new batteries is they have stopped putting a strap on them. It makes it very hard to put it in without dropping it into the battery box. It's even harder to get them out.

      Strong enough for my Tahoe

I had my battery tested last winter when I noticed it that the engine cranked a little slower after sitting for a few days. I would charge it periodically and it made it through the winter. This winter I wasn't taking any chances and replaced it and everything seems better. Besides starting better and not seeing the headlights dim when I put up the windows it feels quicker and runs better. Even though their battery tester said my battery was still good I bought this one and I am glad I did.
