      About

      2017 Chevrolet Volt Car Battery

The 2017 Chevrolet Volt is a modern electric hybrid vehicle that uses a large battery bank to power front and rear electric motors for driving, and a standard 12-volt automotive battery for operating lights, the radio, and other electronics inside and out of the vehicle. The large high-voltage OEM battery is the more important part, but the standard 12-Volt battery must be maintained to keep your Volt functional as well, and it will go bad over time. Fortunately, AutoZone offers convenient access to replacement batteries at a great price.

      Signs of a Faulty Battery

Before you purchase one of the Chevrolet Volt batteries from AutoZone or another retailer, it's important to consider whether your current battery is showing signs of being faulty. In Chevy Volt vehicles a faulty battery means dim lights, a non-functional radio, and other electrical issues. The car may run and drive, but its accessories won't function as they are meant to. If you notice any of these problems you likely need a replacement battery. AutoZone offers exact-fit replacements for the 2017 Chevy Volt from popular brands like Duralast.

      Best Value over OEM Replacement

Replaced 5+ year old battery in 2017 Volt. Was having unusual symptoms that did not appear to be 12 volt battery issues. Radio display would blank out, odd check engine light when key FOB was in car but vehicle not started, wireless phone charger wouldn't connect over 50% of time, engine generator start up and shut down sounded like a loud clunk, was taking longer to charge the high voltage battery, Regenerative charging was becoming minimal, etc. But research from other owners listed similar issues. Replacing battery was actually easy. Took a total of 20 minutes but next time should be less. Great to have the handle on the battery. Everything is working just like new and charging is quicker since the 12 volt battery controls the charging systems. Can NOT hear the engine start it's so smooth! Every odd issue is gone. Have heard some shops and dealers do not know to look for these symptoms and pinpoint the 12 volt battery as the problem. Sounds as though AutoZone associates have a good knowledge base to find the problem. This battery has a higher CCA than the OEM battery at a lower cost which in my opinion is a plus for a replacement battery.
