      Duralast Battery Works

Around 2000, I read in Consumer Reports that a Duralast Battery was a good battery to purchase. Since then, every two years I have purchased a new one. So far, I have been happy. I had a mechanic tell me the following about car batteries: Purchase a new battery for your car every other year. A battery will last two years. That is why batteries usually have a least a two year warranty. After two years, depending upon the battery and the weather, it might last three or five years, it just depends. If you purchase a new battery every other year, you will never find yourself stranded on the side of the road due to a defective battery. Ever since I followed that mechanic's advice, I have never had a battery problem that caused me to be stranded on the side of the road.

      Lasts

My last Duralast Gold 75 battery had lasted me 7 years and around 125,000 miles. I use my truck every day and the battery had held up excellent over all this time. I hope this new one that I had bought lasts just as long. It still would hold up but with it getting cold outside it just didn't have enough cold cranking amps anymore if it sat for longer than 24 hours without a jump.
