Displeased with AutoZone over this purchased

I didn't notice because we were talking cars, but they sold me a battery that was over 2 years old. When I tested it before installing, it showed bad. Took it back. The other two batteries on the shelf were both older, and dead. They called another store to verify their battery was recent, and it showed to be 2 months old. The battery that they transferred to my local store was 7 months old. On top of all this crap, when I purchased the battery, they put a packet of dielectric grease on the battery. I thought it was free, but when I checked my receipt later, I found out they charged me $1.99. SERIOUSLY? There are parts stores on both sides on my AutoZone, within spitting distance. Guess which store I'm NOT going back to.

I liked that there were both top and side posts. The three year guarantee means I won't have to worry about cell failure like I have experienced in standard sealed auto batteries. Also, this is my show car and it is often stored for long periods of time. With the Optima, I can be sure that when I need it, the power will be there.
