The part was like new. Had never changed a starter before, but between the part being well-made and the location easily accessible in the engine compartment, the replacement went about as smoothly as you could hope for. Highly recommend this part. The previous starter on my vehicle was the same one and it lasted at least 6 years. It had been replaced before we bought the vehicle and I think we’ll sell it before the new starter goes bad.
