      About

      2003 Honda Accord Starter

A car starter is a small electrical motor that is used to crank the engine and get it running. Every car has a starter, but unfortunately, like most car components, starters don't last forever. When your 2003 Honda Accord starter dies, you'll need to buy a replacement part. Thankfully, AutoZone is your one-stop shop for all your automotive needs, including starter motors.

Signs and Symptoms of a Bad Starter

A bad battery or a failing alternator can cause symptoms similar to those of a bad starter, so it's important to rule those out before you do anything else. Bad starters will commonly cause a loud clicking noise when you attempt to start the engine. If the starter is completely dead, your car will outright refuse to start at all.

How to Install Your 2003 Honda Accord Starter

The 2003 Accord starter is located just below the intake manifold. To reach it, you'll have to remove the plastic engine cover, exposing the intake manifold. Once you remove the intake manifold, you can unscrew the bolts holding it in and get access to the starter. From there, it's a case of taking the old starter out and installing the new one.

Whether your vehicle is automatic or manual, you can buy a starter for 2003 Honda Accord at AutoZone. To ensure correct compatibility and fitment, you can browse and sort available options by year, make, model, and engine size. With Free Next-Day Delivery you can have your order delivered to your address, or choose Same-Day In-Store or Curbside Pickup and get your parts as soon as today.

Easy to install, just be sure to take the wire conduit bracket off the old one to reinstall on the new one. Just one bolt to remove to do it. Easy Peasy!!! We put everything back together and it fired right up on the first try. Working great ever since!!!
