The original starter burnt up on my 2005 Toyota Corolla S after 200,000 miles and Autozone offered a remanufactured replacement that was an exact fit, was very easy to replace from under the hood at the front of the engine, never had to go under the car at all. Took about 1.5-2 hours total with a socket wrench and a screw driver. Just remove the fan assembly with two 10mm bolts, remove a clip and lift the assembly out of the way to access the starter at the front of the engine under the intake manifold. Easy do it yourself work that will save hundreds of dollars.
