About
Ford Explorer Brake Pads
A large SUV such as the Ford Explorer will generally go through brake pads after a few years of normal driving. All of that mass has a lot of inertia and a great deal of energy needs to be expanded in order to slow it down. That's why it's extremely important you buy quality brake pads that will not only last a long time, but offer great braking performance. Expect to pay roughly $50 per axle for Ford Explorer brake pads replacement cost, though cheaper as well as more expensive options are also available.
You can purchase excellent brake pads for your Ford Explorer at AutoZone from popular brands such as Duralast, and get your parts the hassle-free way with Free Next Day Delivery.

2108 Ford Explorer: Rear brakes require use of the Disc Brake Caliper tool to depress the piston in order to have clearance to fit the caliper back over the addition width of the new brake pads. You have to ask for it at the counter, because they don't know to suggest it. It will save you multiple trips to your local AZ store.
