    About Toyota 4Runner Brake Pads

If your brake pedal vibrates when you press on it, it could possibly indicate that your brake pads are worn out. If, in addition to that, you also notice that your brakes like to make a high-pitched squealing or a metallic grinding noise, your brake pads are almost certainly the culprit and need to be replaced. When replacing brake pads, you always want to purchase high-quality components that are proven and reliable. At AutoZone, you can find replacement Toyota 4Runner brake pads from reputable companies such as Duralast.

Even though you can get as much as 100,000 miles from a set of brake pads, most options will probably last you somewhere closer to 40,000 miles. The front brake pads need to be replaced more frequently than the rear pads since roughly 70 percent of all braking power goes to the front brakes. Toyota 4Runner brake pads replacement cost will set you back somewhere around $30 for a set of semi-metallic brake pads and closer to $60 for ceramic brake pads which last longer and produce less noise.

You can find brake pads for your Toyota 4Runner at AutoZone along with other components such as filters, bulbs, fluids, and much more. Thanks to convenient delivery options such as Free Same Day Pickup, fixing and servicing your vehicle has never been easier.

    O.E.M calls for ceramic brakes.

O.E.M. is incorrect concerning Ceramic Brakes. Replace with semi-metallic brakes and you will have better stopping power. Same replacement cycle as with ceramic brakes without the squealing. Changing brakes for 35 years and ceramic brakes seem to be a fad or gimmick to sell cheap materials for high price. Also ceramics appear to wear out rotors more than semi-metallics.
