About 2009 Honda Accord Brake Rotor

Your ability to stop your car depends on a solid surface for your brake pads to press against, which is what your Accord's brake rotors are for. They're solid steel discs that mount behind the wheel, and the friction between the pads and rotors slows your momentum. Eventually, your brake rotors will wear and need to be replaced, and AutoZone has the parts you need at a competitive price.

Best Brake Rotor For 2009 Honda Accord

Brake rotors will usually last for more than one brake pad change, but not always. If your rotors are grooved, warped, too thin, or have hot spots, you'll need to replace them. The best brake rotor for your 2009 Accord is one that's designed exactly for your car, preferably with corrosion-resistant coatings and an excellent warranty.

How to Replace a Honda Accord Brake Rotor

Replacing your brake rotor is a straightforward process, but there are a few things you'll want to keep in mind. First, make sure you get the right rotor for your 2009 Honda Accord. Brake rotors come in a variety of sizes and bolt patterns, so it's important to get one that will fit your car. Once you have the new rotor, you'll need to remove the old one. This can be done by unbolting the caliper and removing the old rotor. Once the old rotor is off, you can put the new one in its place and bolt everything back together.

AutoZone carries all your car parts from top brands like Duralast, filtered by year, make, model, and engine size. To get your parts when you need them, choose from convenient options like Same-Day In-Store or Curbside Pickup and home delivery options.

I appreciate the reputation of Duralast products, so it was comforting to use them in my brake change.

                          in 5 years

Bought car new and replacing the OEM rotors with these along with Duralast Max pads by 104,000 miles. The original rotors were warped around 75,000 and finally got fed up with the handling/wobbling of the steering wheel. No problem with the pads after putting another 4,000 miles on the car. Expect to experience the burnt smell after driving around fitting the new pads on the new rotors. This is the paint coming off. No worries. After the replacement, I have not had any problems. Car once again brakes smoothly. If you are replacing Honda Accord pads, be prepared to deal with the two holding screws per wheel assembly holding the rotors in place. My research (popular Internet search engine searching) had me come to the conclusion that the screws are primary used to hold the rotor in place while the car is assembled and before the rest of the braking system is put into place. The screws are made from cheap metal and will be seized. I tried using penetrating oil and an impact driver without success. Ended up drilling the screws out. This is the first car I've had with disc brakes and had screws in addition to the wheel & wheel lugs holding the floating rotor in place. I'm not worried. I would recommend these rotors. No they are not drilled, slotted, or may not be fit for racing. Unlike some reviewers on the Internet, I realize that I drive a 4 cylinder Accord to/from work and not driving a street racer. Don't waste your money on the hype. These will serve you well.

Replaced originals at 160k and new set lasted over 100k and 2 brake pad sets. This last time at 260k I replaced brake pads, rotors, and calipers on both rear sides of 2009 Honda Accord. Followed manufacturer recommendations to speed up to 50 mph and hit brakes hard down to 10 mph, repeating 5 times. Brakes got hot in a hurry. Then took an easy ride a few miles to cool everything off. Ever since starting to do this with new brake / rotor replacements, I have been able to eliminate warping and extend brake life.
